Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope that 2026 brings you all the best Natural 20s or the most hilarious Natural 1s you can handle. I’m looking forward to exploring more monsters and doing some new and different things with this blog in the new year.

For one, I’m slowing the pace down a little. I’ve done two entries a week since April, and that’s… a lot sometimes. So I’ll slow things down to once a week, which ought to make things more manageable.

I’d also like to start making encounters and adventures that you can use in your games!

Now keep in mind – I have no idea how to do that.

Sure, writing a thousand words of creative free-association is easy, but making a useful encounter, adventure, or even campaign seed for other people to use feels like more of a challenge. So please be patient while I figure this out, and let me know if you know what mistakes I’m making!

This has been a great project and one of the bright points of 2025. I look forward to another year of trawling through the Monster Manual to see all the hidden gems there are to find.
